Percussion Studio to Present Concert Nov. 3
EKU’s Percussion Studio will present a concert Tuesday, Nov. 3, in Brock Auditorium.

The 8 p.m. program, “An Evening of Classical Percussion,” features the EKU Percussion Ensemble and Steel Band.

The Percussion Ensemble will perform classical transcriptions, such as Gioachino Rossini’s “William Tell Overture,” and a movement from Maurice Ravel’s String Quartet in F, J.S. Bach’s “Air on a G String,” and the Lullaby and Lezghinka from Aram Katchaturian’s Gayane Ballet.

The Steel Band will play classic soca and calypso tunes by both David Rudder and Christopher Herbert, and premiere EKU Music Professor Chris Munson’s new composition for steel band, “What’s New.”

The program is free and open to the public.
