Focus on Scholarship: Vic Kappeler
Vic Kappeler, an EKU Foundation Professor of Criminal Justice and Police Studies, has earned three degrees from EKU. His nine textbooks are commonly used by leading universities worldwide, and he is recognized as a leading scholar in media and the social construction of crime, police deviance and police civil liability, among other related fields. Kappeler also serves on the editorial board for Criminal Justice Review, and reviews articles for sixteen other academic journals. Hear Kappeler speak about his scholarship and service to the field of criminal justice and police studies in the latest taping of Focus on Scholarship, a new interview series sponsored by EKU Libraries and The Office of Graduate Education and Research, here. The purpose of the series is to bring focus and awareness to the scholarly and creative achievements of the EKU faculty and staff.
