Somerset Campus Moves to New Site to Better Accommodate Full Programs
Eastern’s Somerset Regional Campus has recently moved to a new site to better accommodate two full degree programs.

The Somerset campus, now located at 46 Turpin Court just south of old KY 80 and approximately one mile west of US 27, now offers the University’s entire paralegal program as well as the RN to BSN (Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing) program, among other courses that contribute toward degree completion.

The 5,000-square-foot space has offices, a break area and four classrooms, all of which are equipped for interactive TV (ITV). Students can take ITV classes originating from the EKU Richmond campus or anywhere in the world. Thirteen lower and upper division classes are offered live and through ITV, accommodating more than 115 students for the Spring 2011 semester.

“We are also exploring the addition of programs that will complement the programs offered through Somerset Community College,” said contact Somerset Regional Campus Coordinator Terri Reynolds.

A grand opening for the facility will be held later this semester.

For more information, contact Reynolds at 606-676-0838, 859-358-4596 or at terri.reynolds@eku.edu, or visit www.somerset.eku.edu. Also, Transfer Coordinator Gail Creekmore can be reached at 606-451-6708 or gail.creekmore@eku.edu.
