Announcements
EKU READS has selected Frank McCourt's Pulitzer Prize-winning and best-selling memoir, "Angela's Ashes," as the 2005 First-Year Book. The author will visit campus on Sept. 13 as part of the celebration. Incoming students will read the book, to be discussed in small groups during New Student Days in August. Faculty, staff, student and community discussion facilitators are needed. Anyone interested in serving as a discussion facilitator should contact Dr. Susan Kroeg at 622-2282.

The Residence Life Council and Student Activities Council will sponsor Campout for the Homeless on Friday, April 22, at 8 p.m. Students will spend the night in the ravine in a tent to raise awareness about homelessness. Students can reserve a campsite with a $5 donation or three canned goods before the event; the cost onsite is a $10 donation or five canned goods. Spaces are limited and funds raised will go to the Lexington Homeless Shelter. Food will be provided by Aramark and the rain site is Weaver Gym. For more information, contact Kenna Middleton, 622-4806.

The annual retirement dinner will be held Tuesday, April 19, in the Perkins Building. The reception begins at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6:00 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $17.50 per person. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Alumni House at 622-1260.
