Presentations Focus on Global Warming and Climate Change
EKU will host a series of events that address global warming solutions as part of the national “Focus the Nation” project.

“The 2% Solution” Webcast, featuring Stanford University climate scientist Stephen Schneider, sustainability expert Hunter Lovins, green jobs pioneer Van Jones, and youth climate leaders, will offer a discussion of global warming solutions on Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. in Room 108 of the Crabbe Library. The Webcast is open to the public free of charge.

On Feb. 1, Kentucky’s Secretary of State Trey Grayson will speak in O’Donnell Hall, the Student Services Building auditorium, about how the Commonwealth can respond to the challenge of global warming and climate change. The event, at 11:30 a.m., is free and open to the public.

As part of the “Focus the Nation” National Teach-In on Global Warming, EKU faculty members have been challenged to discuss the issue of global warming in Jan. 31 classes and how it might impact various disciplines. “Focus the Nation” events at EKU are sponsored by the University’s Committee on Responsible Environmental Stewardship.
