July 22, 2009

Tracy Scott, assistant athleticsphoto of Tracy Scott director and compliance/senior woman administrator at Eastern Kentucky University, is among 12 athletics administrators from across the United States selected by the National Collegiate Athletic Association for its 2009-10 Fellows Leadership Program.

The Fellows program seeks to enhance career and leadership opportunities for women and ethnic minorities employed at the senior management level of NCAA Division I, II and III colleges and universities.

“I am honored to be a part of the NCAA Fellows Program,” said Scott. “The intensive training and education this program offers would enhance the work of any athletic administrator.”

Individuals selected for the Fellows Leadership Program are assigned an NCAA executive mentor who will work with them over 18 months to enhance their skills and develop talents they can utilize in their current career and beyond.

NCAA Fellows remain at their current institutions for the duration of the program and attend the NCAA Convention and relevant governance meetings, advances and workshops.

The program provides professional experiences in marketing, public and media relations, budgeting, leadership, compliance and fundraising. The Fellows program was developed by the NCAA Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee and the Committee on Women’s Athletics in 1997.
