Dr. James Conneely, Associate Provost and Vice President of Student Affairs at Eastern Kentucky University, has been appointed chairperson of the James E. Scott National Academy for Leadership and Executive Effectiveness Advisory Board.

Conneely was named to the advisory board, a special program that is part of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, in 2004. He will begin his two-year appointment at the organization’s national conference in March.

The Academy is geared toward meeting the needs of the senior student affairs officers on campuses across the nation. The Academy Board serves as an advisory body, with the chair serving as the liaison between the Academy Board, the NASPA Board of Directors, and the NASPA office.

With more than 11,000 members at 1,400 campuses, representing 29 countries, NASPA is the foremost professional association for student affairs administrators, faculty, and graduate and undergraduate students.
