ART: Deward Eads Exhibition
Richmond native and EKU alumnus Deward Eades will be honored at a reception Thursday evening from 5 until 7 at the Giles Gallery. Eades' work is currently on display in the Lower Gallery. In his paintings, Eades has fashioned a world of mystery in which familiar objects take on attitudes that tantalize the imagination and create a dream world that reflects the struggles of our time.
After teaching art for 31 years in Bellport, N.Y., Eades has retired to Louisville, where he continues to paint.
The Eades exhibit will be up through Feb. 22. Call Giles Gallery at 622-8135 for gallery hours.
