CPE Sponsors Credit for Prior Learning Workshop
Adult students bring a wealth of knowledge gained as a result of life experiences (work, military service, volunteering) to our classrooms. Institutions of higher education are acknowledging that this can result in college-level learning and responding by offering students the opportunity to demonstrate prior learning through portfolio assessment.
The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education is sponsoring an informational workshop so the EKU community can learn more about this dynamic process. Join us as Dr. Denise Hart, consultant for the Council on Adult and Experiential Learning, introduces the portfolio development and assessment framework. Participants will receive two free books about the subject.
