Environmental Journalism Conference
EKU's chapter Society of Professional Journalists is hosting a Kentucky Environmental Journalism Conference Friday, Nov. 13, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Powell Student Center.
Tom Eblen, columnist and former managing editor for the Lexington Herald-Leader, will give the keynote address. The conference will feature panels on covering coal, agriculture as an environmental issue, water issues, the Environmental Research Institute at Eastern and tips from reporters on the environmental beat.
Deadline to register is Monday, Nov. 9. Registration is $15 and includes continental breakfast, lunch and conference handouts. EKU students attend free with pre-registration.
